THE LANDSCAPE OF DESIGN
The landscape of design predominantly indicates the architecture of the world in which we live. As the nature of civilization is increasingly developing in urban environments, man-made structures and interior spaces have become integral components of everyday life. These are the areas in which we work, eat, sleep, play, and worship. Considering this, the environment which we construct around ourselves, in essence architecture, has a profound impact on both our physical and psychological well-being.
The way in which our surroundings are designed provokes emotion and should be cultivated as such. But much in the same way that paintings and cultural artwork can be shared all over the globe through various forms of multimedia and gallery exhibition, so too can architecture. The photography and visual re-telling of architectural and design landscapes allows people from across the world to bear witness to the manifold of cultural heritages and modernity which are being told divergently through civilization’s primary aesthetic: its buildings.
